Spring 2026 RDH Mission Update

Hey readers! Lots has happened since my last update. Here’s a quick summary so you can join me in thanking God for his goodness. I also want to invite you to pray for something at the end. But first…

Training / Teaching Opportunities

God continues to open doors for me to serve leaders and marriages.

  • At the invitation of Jim Newheiser, I spoke at two events sponsored by RTS Charlotte and Christ Covenant Church (pastored by Kevin DeYoung). While at RTS I also met with Dean Faulkner, the church planting professor, and we had a rich time of collaboration and resource sharing.
  • I conducted an I Still Do marriage conference in New Castle, Oklahoma. The organizer said this to encourage other churches and ministries to host this same event: “Marriages will be challenged and enriched with clear, faithful Biblical teaching, practical Gospel application, and Spirit-filled encouragement!”
  • I completed a morning of interviews with FamilyLife, hosted by Dave and Ann Wilson.
  • I conducted an interview for Cornerstone TV on The Clay Pot Conspiracy.
  • Bethlehem Baptist Church has invited me to come do an I Still Do conference.
  • Later this month I’ll spend an afternoon via Zoom with the ministry residents at Naperville Presbyterian Church (pastored by Dane Ortlund).

Writing

  • By the grace of God, The Clay Pot Conspiracy is circulating well and continues to generate interview opportunities and feedback from readers. Just yesterday as I write this, a woman from Canada shared this: “I’m currently preparing to host a book club using The Clay Pot Conspiracy, and I’ve recommended it to nearly every pastor’s wife I know. Many of them are now asking their spouses to read it as well. Your willingness to share your story gives so many of us permission to acknowledge the reality of shame, disappointment, and ministry pain while also seeing the freedom that Christ offers on the other side.”
  • I signed a book contract with New Growth Press for a Lent devotional scheduled for release in 2027.  They also asked if I would follow it with an Advent devotional in 2028. The Lent devotional is done and submitted. More to come on these projects.
  • After many requests and several years of prayerful consideration, I’m currently adapting some of the best insights from Rescuing Ambition into a book aimed at marketplace leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals. Matt Perman (who wrote What’s Best Next) has agreed to help with the adaptation.

Network Leader Training

I continue to receive calls from leaders who want to start or strengthen their own church planting networks. As a result, I am creating a new course around Multiplying Church Planting Networks. This course will have videos, tools, and articles that will draw from my book Stronger Together: Seven Partnership Virtues and the Vices that Subvert

I’m excited to add this to the other courses available at RevDaveHarvey.com.

How You Can Help

Please pray that God gives me wisdom to know how to prioritize writing and travel well. I’m always vulnerable to overextending myself, and I want to align my commitments to reflect both my calling and my family’s needs.

I’m also preparing to launch a new book later this year, Rescuing Ambition for Marketplace Success, aimed at helping Christians in business think biblically and practically about competition, ambition, risk, succession and other vital topics.

Because this project is being independently published, we have a unique opportunity to extend its reach—especially by placing copies into the hands of key leaders and investing in thoughtful promotion during the launch.

If you’d like to help put this message into the hands of marketplace leaders who need it, I’d be grateful for your support. You can contribute here.

When the time comes, we also plan to offer an exclusive discount for Tenacious Tuesday subscribers.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading to the end. And as always, no update would be complete without saying how grateful I am that you are a loyal subscriber to Tenacious Tuesday. If you have a need we can serve, don’t hesitate to reach out.

With appreciation,

Dave
